Mad world
Mad World
All around me are familiar faces, worn out places, worn out faces.
Riding early for their daily races, going nowhere.
Their tears are filling up their glasses, no expression (on their faces)
Had my head I wanna drown my sorrow, no tomorrow.
Though I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad;
The dreams in which I’m dying, are the best I’ve ever had.
I find it hard to tell you, i find it hard to take;
When people run in circles, it’s a very, very, very,
Mad world!
Children waiting for the day they feel good, happy birthday.
When they feel the way that every child should, seat and listen.
When to school and I was very nervous, no one knew me.
Hello teacher tell me what’s my lesson, look right through me.
Though I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad;
The dreams in which I’m dying, are the best I’ve ever had.
I find it hard to tell you, i find it hard to take;
When people run in circles, it’s a very, very, very,
Mad world!

essence
Have you ever found yourself in that situation where your world seems to be crumbling, everything seems to be out of place, and you are asking 'why do bad things happen to us? Why do we ever have to feel sad? Why do we lose those things that matter to us?....
Come to think of it, why do this things happen to us? Why can't we be happy forever and always?
Numerous theories have been propounded to explain this phenomenon. Some say its karma, others say destiny, which I personally disagree with. So I came up with my own theory which some people think is a modification of the first. My postulation attributes mishaps to acknowledgment of our essence as humans, helping us to appreciate one another. When we are down we obviously need someone to lift us up. Now that is the essence of our existence.
So when next you are down, don't waste time groping, look for a friend to share with!

Nigerian youths urged to be self employed
That's like one of the saddest news headlines ever. Completely going against promises we have been made to believe of how jobs would be created and employment made available. Now youths are being asked to be self employed. So I ask 'what has my country done for me?' The answer came too easily; nothing! What's worse, we now have to go beyond providing our own power, health care, transport... Just when i thought the list was already exhausted our amiable leaders added employment to it. So what they are saying is that in addition to not being well paid for the jobs they do, they now have to create more jobs, pay themselves, and others, that is like asking a man in a bucket to lift himself up by pulling the handle. Now what could be worse than that, in terms of insanity.

PHONE THEFT; OKADA RIDERS THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

Funny how it may sound but when it comes to phone theft a new set of players have emerged. Motorcycles have become a tool used to carry out such evil on unsuspecting passengers. Here's the case of a friend of a friend of a friend...
On that fateful evening she took a bike from her house to school, after some moments, the bike began to slow down, and finally stopped in a secluded place for reasons unknown to the passenger.
OKADA MAN: Sister no vex my machine get small fault. But no worry I go do am now now.
PASSENGER: Please be quick its getting late.
OKADA MAN: I no dey see well abeg you hold your phone? come show me light.
She points her BLACK BERRY to him so he would see what he claims to be doing.
OKADA MAN: I no dey see well bring the phone make I hold am my self.
She hands him the phone to hasten the process.
The okada man stands up wields the handle of the motorcycle saying...
OKADA MAN: Make I check whether the machine go work now.
He mounts the bike, charges it, moves forward, slows down, takes one more glance at his victim and SPEEEDS OFF.
She did not believe she just saw okada man zooming off, just like a scene in MTV's PUNK'D she was actually expecting hidden cameras to pop out and hear people say you've just been PUNK'D.
But it was not April fools day. sorry!!!
But I say WELCOME TO LAGOS.

chike opara; the dreamer awakes
welcome to the legend of the dreamer. A blog full of write ups around the life of a young man with crazy imaginations and dreams. Here are a few facts about him. His names are Chike opara. last time I checked he was male; you never can be too sure of anything this days. He is a blogger, teenager, a medical student (and I must say in one of the countries foremost universities.you know), what more he remains a DREAMER!!!.
Chike is quite taciturn but talkative,reserved but jovial, too understanding which is not too good, cos when you are too understanding you tend to lose. Did I forget to say he is very smart? yeah he is like many of his colleagues.
He also is a patriotic Nigerian, very patriotic indeed, believes in his country Nigeria the giant of Africa.Funny enough he likes to believe heis the Nigerian dream (no wonder he called this blog the legend of the dreamer) I've tried to talk him out of it but the guy is obstinate don't tell him I said so. I've given upon that and decided to sit back and see what he makes of himself.
I believe in the guy shaa though he has his funny ways he re mains dear to me.
His philosophy of life " to be no one but yourself in a world which is doing its best night and day to make you every one else is to fight the hardest battle ever and never stop fighting" E.E.CUMMINGS
Bottomline be yourself always.
